The picture itself composition wise is superb.
The whole concept and just the emotion it stirs up in me by looking at it makes it even more so.

The only thing that bothers me here are the clouds,
they look really plasticy and weird but i'm sure that's not your fault (unless you messed with the clouds in PS or something.)

Other than that superb picture :)

thank you! :glomp: it is an HDR image so i took 4 images at different exposures then using photoshop's automated HDR feature all the images were merged together to give you an exposure that isn't otherwise possible.... that may be why the clouds look a little funny! :giggle: thank you for your CC! I really appreciate you taking the time to comment! I think in this image especially the clouds are a little out there! I think i will go back a re-do this..... ;) cheers!

i actually checked out a few HDR images after i saw this one, other photographer's work too...

and i noticed that in a lot of them the clouds come out a little plasticy and funky looking, i guess it's just a price you pay to get that amazing depth and contrast i've seen in all of your HDR's :)

Very cute! I'm all for weird looking HDR clouds etc. It is an ongoing debate I have with my wife because she says HDR doesn't look real. I think that is sort of the point, otherwise it may as well be left as a single exposure? See my "cloudy sheep 2" HDR for extreme looking clouds. My other sheep panorama is the same set of exposures without the conversion, personally I feel the HDR is more appealing to look at although it does look artificial. Your thoughts would be appreciated!

No problem, just kind of sick of seeing the same old "that's cool"
comment plastered on half the photos on DA, so I like putting in my two cents...
